Class of 2012

Troy's preschool graduation was Monday. I, of course squalled my eyes out....partially because he was crying, too. I think he was embarrassed by being in front of all those people.

He didn't want to sing the songs, which is so unlike my sweet T-roy.

He started to reluctantly get into the Bear Hunt.
The only time he smiled during the whole program.

 Working up his cry.

He finally broke down....and that's when I did, too. It didn't help that they played their slideshow next.

 Waiting to receive his "dipoloma"

My big boy is now a preschool graduate!

Presenting the pre-k class of 2012!

Miss Kim tried her hardest to get him to smile. He finally agreed to smile for me if I would let him take his t-shirt off.

We are going to miss Miss Kim and Miss Lori! We love them! But it will be three years before......

....this one is ready for pre-k!

Ok, She thinks she is ready right now. We are going to miss being at preschool after being there for the past almost 4 years! We may have to make some visits to see our favorite teachers. ;)

Bunnies and Piglets and Chicks, Oh My!

Troy's preschool class went to the petting zoo on Friday. They all had so much fun! I can tell that we will be making more trips there in the future!

Troy is a sucker for baby chicks!

Audrey was trying her best to get in with the chicks, too.

She loved the bunnies!

Troy caught a piglet.

 Checking out the pheasants.

Taylor helped keep Audrey in line.

 Baby goats!

Audrey loved the pony ride. She cried when she had to get off. She is a little equestrian!

Miss Kim took Audrey to console her after she had to get off the pony.

Troy loves to ride, too! (He is actually riding by himself a little at home, now!)

Ty gives the thumbs up - he is ready to go!

 Playground break

And these two fellows, just because they were beautiful!

Troy's Pumpkin Patch Trip

Ok, yall. I promise I will eventually get my computer fixed asks do a real blog post. Until then, however, you will just have to bear with me and my droid posts.

A couple weeks ago, Troy's class went to the pumpkin patch and Audrey and I got to go with him. :) We all had a lot of fun! Petting bunnies, playing in corn, playing on the playground taking a hayride, and picking the perfect pumpkin! Then I got some pretty pictures of them in a cotton field. :)

Fire Safety Day

Today was Fire Safety Day at preschool. three of the firefighters from Guntersville came out and had mini-classes for the kids and the parents, and then the kids got to check out the fire truck! They all loved it, of course, and hopefully learned something about fire safety, too. Big thanks to all our Firefighters for what they do!

School Beginnings

I am a bad mom. I blogged about Ty's first day of school, but not Troy's. Just don't tell him. Shhhh.
Troy had a great first day of preschool last Wednesday! No crying! When I picked him up, Lori said he did great and he was so excited to tell me what all he had done. :) That makes a moma happy.
Now, two weeks in, both boys are doing well. They are both happy...except for having to get up so early, which I'm not wild about either. ;) Getting up and having to get 3 kids ready to leave before 7 is for the birds. Lol. Our only problem is Ty isn't wanting to do his work at school. He is coming home with papers that haven't got the first pencil mark on them. Jeremy asked him why he didn't do his work, and he said "I just didn't want to." Any suggestions??

Milestones

Ty has hit a cuple of major milestones the past few days! For starters.....

He lost his first tooth! :) He came downstairs Sunday morning and said, "Look, Daddy!" He had pulled it all by himself. lol. He was very excited.

He wanted to just keep carrying it around with him. He said he was going to church and tell everybody about his tooth!
A little bit of panic ensued at bedtime. We had told him that if he put his tooth under his pillow, he would get a surprise, but we never mentioned the tooth fairy. However, some other well meaning souls did, and so both of the boys were scared to go to sleep that night, fearing this scary unknown person would sneak into their bedroom at night. And if she could, why couldn't someone else??? So, we told them moma was the tooth fairy, but they still didn't believe me. So while we were there talking, I went ahead and slipped some money under his pillow and told him to look. He was still a little perplexed, since he didn't see me do it. But they weren't scared any more. A few minutes later, Jeremy and I were sitting in the living room and Ty came out in a panic, saying he couldn't find his tooth. He had taken it out of the baggie I had it in and dozed off holding it. When he fell asleep, he evidently tossed it, which woke him up and made him realize it was gone. So we had to have a scavenger hunt for his tooth, which then was placed back in the baggie and brought back downstairs, so it wouldn't get lost again.

Then, yesterday was his first day of kindergarten!

He got to go to his first day of school with a new hole in his mouth. lol.

He told me he didn't want me to walk him in - he wanted to go in all by himself. So I dropped him off in car line and pulled away, with a few tears pooled in my eyes over my sweet boy growing up too fast. Where has the time gone? I just want to keep him here with me all the time!
He must have had a fun day. Ha came home happy. When I picked him up and asked him what they did, his reply was: "We played outside on the playground. We ate lunch, we ate breakfast. We had snack. And I didn't have to take a nap!" So we know what his priorities are! ;)

Troy starts preschool tomorrow. This will be the hard one. I am somewhat used to Ty not being here, since he has gone to preschool for two years, but I am used to having Troy here with me. Not to mention he is my moma's boy, where Ty has been daddy's from day one. So, starting tomorrow it will be just me and Sis here at home. I may go crazy.
