My Sweet Family

So you wanna know more about the face behind the blog? There's not much to know, but I'll tell you what there is...

My name is Corri. Hi. :)

I'm just your semi-average stay-at home mom. Want some stats? Sing to me on November 3, counting from 1983. Did my time in public school, with a pretty good list of extra-curriculars to go along with my 4.0. Senior year met and fell in love with the amazing man I ended up married to. Moved 80 miles from home to be with him. Did the college thing and got my A.A.S. majoring in Paralegal studies. About all the good that has done me so far is being able to write letters in legalese, due to the fact that I graduated pregnant with our first child.

Meet my family.

This is Jeremy, my loving husband (except now he is sans facial hair). Ours is a love story that God most definitely had His hand in. Jeremy has his own excavating business (that has its ups and downs). He LOVES just about anything related to the outdoors, especially hunting, and he is a pretty doggone good guitar picker, although he wouldn't admit it for the world. He is more than I could ever have asked for for myself and the best daddy to our kiddos.....

From left to right we have Troy, Audrey, and Tyler. All three have wildly different personalitities. Ty is the oldest at 5. He is tender-hearted and smart as anything. He is in preschool and will be starting Kindergarten next year. He comes up with some of the most fantastic stuff, is mechanically-minded, and is crazy about the weather. Troy is almost 4. He is a strong-willed but loving child. I am sure God gave him to me to teach me patience. But you'll never find another child more loving and protective. He's also a smart one. I never know what he will say next. Right now he's all about superheroes and music. He'll be going to preschool next year. Which will leave me home alone with Audrey, who came into the world in September, putting her at 8 months old now. She wants to be up and running with her brothers so badly - and at the rate she's going, that won't be long! She also lets you know right off that she thinks she is the boss! I am sure she will always have her brothers wrapped tightly around her fingers, as they already are. :)

We are a Christian family and try to teach our babies about God and how to serve Him. I love the song "Household of Faith" - it was sung at our wedding....
Here we are, at the start
Committing to each other
By His word, from our hearts
We will be a family
In a house that will be a home
And by faith we'll build it strong

We'll build a household of faith
That together we can make
And when the strong winds blow
It can't fall down
As one in Him we'll grow
And the whole world will know
That we are a Household of Faith
Now to be a family
We've got to love each other
At any cost, unselfishly
And our home must be a place
That firmly abounds with grace
A reflection of His face
We'll build a household of faith
That together we can make
And when the strong winds blow
It can't fall down
As one in Him we'll grow
And the whole world will know
That we are a Household of Faith
